This is caused by one of two known bugs: the fact that chronyc is not 64 bit clean, or a bug in the protocol for transferring numbers between chronyc and chronyd. The former will be easier to fix and has higher priority. If it is a 64 bit problem it will probably be fixed in the next upload.
