Same in safe mode.
Settings: http://www.linux-dev.org/misc/iceweasel.png
And at last:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ iceweasel --verbose
ICEWEASEL_DSP=
APPLICATION_ID=firefox
CMDLINE_DISPLAY=
DISPLAY=:0.0
OPTIONS=--verbose -a firefox
DEBUG=0
DEBUGGER=
MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=
MOZ_NO_REMOTE=
Running: /usr/lib/iceweasel/firefox-bin --verbose -a firefox
Note: I can't get the output of the second process.

I'm also hit by this bug. In the case of having e.g. extensions installed,
that try to avoid that iceweasel opens a new window, the result is a
broken link in the new tab of the form:
URL|URL
which of course doesn't exist. If you need any info, please let me know.
I'd like to know, for all reporters:
- what happens if you run iceweasel in safe-mode (iceweasel -safe-mode)
- what are your settings concerning tabs (about:config -> filter on tabs
might help)
- what is the output of iceweasel --verbose for each time you run it
Because here... it's unreproducible :(
