Package: fslint Version: 2.16-1 Severity: trivial I wanted a GTK disk space cleaning tool. But Synaptic couldn't find me one. (I had searched in synaptic for the term: disk space)
All I found was kleansweep, which is KDE-based. It would be great if you enhanced fslint's description to something longer like this so that it'd be easier to find with synaptic's search function:
A utility to find duplicate files and various problems with filesystems' data. FSlint is a toolkit to clean filesystem lint. It includes a GTK+ GUI as well as a command line interface. When used carefully by a user who knows what is safe to delete and what isn't, FSlint can free up quite a bit of disk space. It can find things such as: - Duplicate files - Bad filenames - Filename clashes - Temporary files - Bad symlinks - Empty directories - Nonstripped binaries Homepage: http://www.pixelbeat.org/fslint/ Other packages for saving disk space include localepurge, xdiskusage, and kleansweep. <<<<< Cheers, Jason Spiro -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
