I uses xine-ui as front end Version: 0.99.4+dfsg+cvs20061111-2.What am
trying to say is xine gui(xine-ui) hangs even @ start up.no keys,nothing
working,gui hangs showing splash screen.one thing i noted was the gui that
hangs is showing xine version as:v0.99.5cvs though debian apt installed
0.99.4.so if i tried from terminal also pointing towards any MRL xine
hangs,even aaxine does that too.xine worked fine until version xine-lib
1.1.2.now with the latest upgrade the system contains following packages
installed: libxine1,libxine-dev,libxine1-ffmpeg,libxine1-gnome along with
xine-ui.i dont understand which package(s) cause this problem-btw i uses
strictly debian apt only for installing packages.
One more point is today i installed gxine also to see whether gxine
works..but gxine also hangs the same way xine-ui package does.
please fix the problem.hope it helps,

Could you please be a bit more specific? Which front-end do you use?
Xine? what file do you try to play?
