I started xine GUI with gdb and tracked down the segfault to /usr/lib/tls/libnvidia-tls.so.1, so it looks my NVidia GLX installation is broken. In fact it is, because glxgears crashes the same way. So please close this bug, it's obviously no xine problem. Sorry for the false alarm.
