Package: libembperl-perl Version: 2.2.0-1 Severity: serious Hi Angus,
I imagine you've seen that Gunnar NMUed libembperl-perl for bug #395870. Unfortunately, that NMU has failed to autobuild on all architectures with this error: [...] #258 epform.htm... ok All tests have been passed successfully! make[2]: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make[2]: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. make[1]: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make[1]: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. make: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make: *** wait: No child processes. Stop. [...] A full build log can be found at <http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=libembperl-perl;ver=2.2.0-1.1;arch=amd64;stamp=1174612943>. Further investigation shows that the problem also affects the version currently in testing. It's also trivially reproducible for me in a clean chroot. I'm not sure why this issue didn't manifest in earlier archive build tests, but it does certainly prevent resolving bug #395870, even by way of binNMU. Sadly, after reviewing it I think bug #395870 is downgradable, but in contrast this build failure prevents security support for the package. A quick fix would definitely be appreciated for this; otherwise libembperl-perl is likely to be dropped from the etch release. -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world.
