apt-cache show galeon | grep nautilus apt-cache show galeon | grep gnome-session return nothing, this means Galeon does not depend on these. I think you meant other dependencies. Galeon is a *GNOME* browser, meaning it tries to integrate with standard GNOME services such as session management, virtual filesystem stack, GNOME user interface, startup notification, accessibility stack etc. Could you be more specific in which dependencies you find superfluous? If you're looking for a browser which does not depend on the GNOME stack, I suggest you try kazehakase or iceweasel, or text mode browsers such as w3m or links. Bye, -- Loïc Minier
