Package: nvidia-kernel-source Version: 1.0.7167-1 Severity: normal Just upgraded to 1.0.7167 from 1.0.6629, and as I modprobe the freshly built nvidia module I get this error:
NVRM: loading NVIDIA Linux x86 NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-7167 Fri Feb 25 09:08:22 PST 2005 NVRM: cpu does not support PAT, aborting.. .. the weird thing is that whatever's being aborted doesn't seem to be critical, as it seems that the module is still being loaded, and I can still run X anyway. I can find no documentation for the error, nor can I find the phrase using google or anything describing its meaning in the module source. The problem seems to stem from debian/patches/04_minion, which refers to a website (http://www.minion.de/files/) which notes that all the patches it contained were "hopelessly outdated". What's going on? Should I care? If not, it'd at least be nice for this abort message to indicate that it's not something to worry about...
