retitle 416251 window positioning not compatible with xinerama thanks I was able to reproduce the problem with non-fullscreen iceweasel and epiphany windows, but not so with jpilot and kazehakaze.
An interesting point to note is that when started on head 1, the window x position would be such that the edge between head 0 and head 1 (x == 1280) would be exactly 0.5 through the window's width. Mathematically, Px is position, Wx is width: Px = 1280 - Wx/2 I can reproduce the full-screen behaviour at will. With non-fullscreen windows it sometimes just works the way it should (such that the window does not overlay onto another head), but definitely not all the time.
