Package: postgresql-8.1
Version: 8.1.8-1
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
if you have aide installed you get output like
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/pg_subtrans/0060
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/pg_clog/0006
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/pg_xlog/0000000100000001000000DE
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/pg_xlog/0000000100000001000000DF
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/base/42991881/49056189
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/base/42991881/49056190
added: /var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/base/42991881/49056191
from aide which makes no sense because it is obvios that
/var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main will change. Thus it would make
sense to add a file
/etc/aide/aide.conf.d/50_postgresql
that contains
!/var/lib/postgresql/8.1/main/
Remark: While this bug report would be valid also against
postgresql-7.4 I do not think that this would be really
necessary because this change will not make its way into
Etch and I doubt that post Etch releases will contain V 7.4.
It might be interesting to verify whether you find a way
to parameterize the postgresql version.
Remark 2: If you think this bug report concerns aide rather
than postgresql feel free to reassign it.
Kind regards and thanks for maintaining postgresql
Andreas.
