Package: mysql-server
Version: 5.0.32-7etch1
Severity: normal

The problems named in http://ozlabs.org/~anton/linux/sysbench/ and
http://jeffr-tech.livejournal.com/6268.html#cutid1 are making the
mysql-server really slow. Jobs which should run in about 1 hour
need 4 hours. We could fix the problem using the ugly hack named
in http://ozlabs.org/~anton/linux/sysbench/ as advice:

- compiling override_sched_setscheduler.c, but the name of the
library has to start with "lib", for example liboverride.so
- backporting google-perftools-0.8
- preloading mysql with liboverride.so and libtcmalloc.so
