Package: pidentd Severity: normal Why install a network-facing service like ident by default? Why would most Debian users need this installed by default? I don't think any Debian users would find it surprising to install a system and not have an ident service running. I do, on the other hand, find it surprising to install a system and have an ident service listening by default.
