I'm forcing an update to 2.0.7-5 to test the fix to the "unknown user:
snort" problem.
Preparing to replace checksecurity 2.0.7-2 (using
.../checksecurity_2.0.7-5_all.deb) ...
But I get prompted about this diff:

Showing a diff is a property of conffiles only, and I did not make
that change, so I should not be shown the .diff.
Strictly, this is probably an RC bug, since it violates at least the
intent of policy: "Changes must be preserved", and, "Users must not be
prompted about changes to non-conffiles or conffiles which they have
not modified" (which is my understanding of the goal of the policy).
ucf maybe? dpkg.org also has an explanation about how to do this kind
of thing.
