Further it doesn't copy my /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf over. Finally, the decription says a requirement is that all modules needed for booting must be compiled into the kernel... yet the script calls modprobe - but it doesn't include modprobe in the initrd. So either it should include it (and then the /lib/modules/`uname -r`) tree, or it shouldn't attempt to use it. As of now I'm finally able use the initrd to get RAID and LVM up and the system booted.
