I can reproduce it, but it doesn't seem to be net-tools fault, as the interface is correctly removed (ifconfig and ip a l doesn't list it anymore). I'm not even sure if this is a bug or not, but I think it's up to kernel maintainers to decide on that. -- Martín Ferrari
