Package: nis
Version: 3.17-6
When I try to install `nis' I get the following error message:

The package remains half-installed. To get rid of it, I
have to
# touch /etc/init.d/nis
# apt-get remove nis
My system: Debian/GNU `etch', kernel 2.6.18-3-amd64.
