Actually, aptitude is recommended to install package. As it enforces
recommends and also tracks "automatically downloaded" packages so that
they are removed when you remove the main package.

It's hard to answer this question. Of course nowhere you will find it stated that "aptitude is not the recommended tool to install a package". I could talk about aptitude's bugs to explain why it shouldn't be the recommended tool, but it's doc-debian's responsability to find a reference if aptitude would indeed be the recommended tool to install a package, and to fix the statement otherwise.
