Regarding whether xmove could change the font name between servers, I suppose it is possible but would require a large amount of work and may have other problems - for example if an application enquires as to how large a font is, starts to draw, then gets moved to another server. Using a font servers or something is probably a better workaround to guarantee the same fonts.
