Hi, I didn't have libsane-extras installed so I haven't try those backends, but I could do it if it could be usefull, just ask. sm3600 seems to be the backend which cause scanimage (and other programs) to segfault. I have also notice that dc25, dc210, dc240 and gphoto2 cause scanimage to hang. I have attached to this email a dll.conf that works for me.
