It seems I have hit the same bug as the reporter of 403534.
In a normal console I saw the following message:
*** Uncaught exception in resolver thread:
Unexpectedly non-broken dependency

libhugs-haxml-bundled [UNINS

(libhugs-haxml 1.17-4 is not
installed)
After a dpkg --purge libhugs-haxml I could start aptitude again.
