I did this: aptitude -o Aptitude::CmdLine::Resolver-Dump=/tmp/aptitude-cmdline-resolver-dump 2> /tmp/aptitude-stderr and then crashed aptitude again. /tmp/aptitude-stderr showed the same error as before, but /tmp/aptitude-cmdline-resolver-dump did not exist. > Also, I'd be interested in seeing what you get when you set > > Aptitude::CmdLine::Resolver-Debug=true I did this: aptitude -o Aptitude::CmdLine::Resolver-Debug=true 2> /tmp/aptitude-stderr and then crashed aptitude again. /tmp/aptitude-stderr contained the same text as before, with nothing additional present. - Josh Triplett
