I had the same problem with iptraf and my new Debian Etch in utf8.
I used the correction :

The quick workaround for iptraf is to add
>#include <locale.h>
and
setlocale(LC_ALL, "");

And it worked very well.

I've got another bug when i use iptraf in putty under another OS, if putty is in utf8. I see system messages, but lines in iptraf are replaced by caracters such as "qqqqq". But if i come back in iso, i don't see properly system messages anymore, but iptraf
is displayed very well...
Strange isn't it ?

So I made to profiles in putty, one in utf8 and one in iso for iptraf.

If you have another idea ? Thanks.
