How do > you start your X session? When /proc/$PID/cmdlin gives me "/usr/bin/X11/X", I was experimenting a few things, starting X by "startx". Per your question, I have also tried xdm, which I usually run. Then /proc/$PID/cmdlin carries /usr/X11R6/bin/Xvt7-auth/var/lib/xdm/authdir/authfiles/A:0-sbZSSv In this case, wttyhx behaves as it is supposed to. (I now see why nobody else complained before.) > Do you use kdm, gdm or startx directly from > the console? > What does > > PID=`pidof X Xorg Xgl` > readlink /proc/$PID/exe > > say (run these commands as root) When starting X with "startx", its output is empty. If I start X with xdm, it says: /usr/bin/Xorg -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
