In cyrus-imap I used to have a line in imapd.conf sasl_keytab: /etc/imap.keytab It worked fine in sarge but after the upgrade to etch it stopped working. For slapd I had the line in /usr/lib/sasl/slapd.conf keytab: /etc/ldap/slapd.keytab The same happened here. In postfix I had the keytab line in /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf The first to were solvable with "export KRB5_KTNAME" like Mikael suggested, but not Postfix since it has no script in /etc/defaults.
