The point is giving former fdisk users the ability to overcome util-linux
fdisk limitations (specialy, missing portability to non-Linux kernels and
support stuff like GPT) without changing anything about how they interface
to the program.

In fact, if this package eventualy becomes part of the default install, it
could even provide that without even user noticing :-)

It compiled fine against libparted1.7 here.  Are there known problems with
using this version?
