Package: nvidia-glx
Version: 1.0.8776-4
Subject says it all. The init script for nvidia-glx attempts to write to
/usr, without checking for the possiblity of it being read-only. In such
a case it would seem a good idea for the script to check whether the
links are okay. If they are don't bother, if they aren't and /usr is
read-only the complaint needs to be more visible.
Along the lines of #280237, it might be good to note this in
/etc/defaults/nvidia-glx, and suggest running the script when the values
are changed (since with r/o /usr it will need manual intervention
anyway).
