Following a discussion on [EMAIL PROTECTED], see http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2007/05/msg00454.html and the related thread, the problem can be solved by running 'dpkg-reconfigure locales', and selecting a non-UTF 8 locale. So it appears that the problem is related to what is mentioned in bug #334040 (related to UTF-8 locales), rather than a gtk1.2 problem as mentioned in bug #287520.
Of course, the problem still needs to be solved in the package itself (which one, though?)...the bug remains! -- Question everything -- Karl Marx -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
