Package: memtest86 Version: 3.2-1.1 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch grub2 has switched to a new, modular update-grub implementation. 3rd party applications intended to be used with grub are now expected to provide their own module for grub.cfg (equivalent to menu.lst) configuration.
Attached script can be deployed in /etc/grub.d/20_memtest86 to add a boot entry for your program. Note: Running update-grub automaticaly is garanteed to be safe.
