Package: soundconverter Version: 0.9.4-2 Severity: normal
When the destination path for converted files contains spaces (e.g. "/data/music/000 New"), it does nothing in the GUI (i.e. no coversion, no error shows up), on the disk it creates the subfolders but no music files show up. In the console, following output is produced: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 2138, in on_convert_button_clicked self.do_convert() File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 2108, in do_convert self.converter.run() File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 513, in run self.setup() File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 632, in setup self.tasks[0].setup() File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 712, in setup self.play() File "/usr/bin/soundconverter", line 765, in play self.pipeline = gst.parse_launch(self.command) gobject.GError: no element "New" The bug has a simple workaround: Use destination folder without spaces in its path. Spaces in filenames don't seem to cause any problems. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=cs_CZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages soundconverter depends on: ii gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs 0.10.12-2 GStreamer plugin for GnomeVFS ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.4-4 GStreamer plugins from the "good" ii python 2.4.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-glade2 2.8.6-8 GTK+ bindings: Glade support ii python-gnome2 2.12.4-6 Python bindings for the GNOME desk ii python-gst0.10 0.10.5-5 generic media-playing framework (P soundconverter recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
