It doesn't because it doesn't crash, but terminates. "The application 'epiphany' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. Program exited with code 01." This is something that is triggered by gtk or gdk, i can't remember, because it can't allocate some object. Usually, this happens with huge images or huge text.
