Hi, unfortunatelly I'm still geetting the prompt issue.
Using Xfce4 as desktop manager, 1280*1024 resolution (might be important as it behaves differently in full screen mode and maximized or normal size window mode). Does not depend on the terminal font selected (ok, did not test all but monospace, sans and serif :). Version of installed packages: libvte9 0.16.3-1 gnome-terminal 2.18.0-2 xfce4-terminal 0.2.6-1 Gnome-terminal: run in maximized window (menu visiblility does not affect the issue), press Ctrl-Shift-T, tab switching panel shows, the new tab has invisible prompt and blinking cursor. Switching tab or wndow forces the prompt to render. Occurs only for the second tab (e.g. when the tab switching panel was added). Works correctly when in full screen mode or normal size window. Xfce-terminal: run in maximized window (menu nor toolbar visiblility does not affect the issue), press Ctrl-Shift-T, tab switching panel shows, the new tab has not render prompt neither cursor. Switching tab or window forces the prompt and the cursor to render, pressing Enter on the new tab shows prompt on next line and bottom part (bellow the font baseline) of the first prompt. Occurs on every next new tab!. Works correctly when in full screen mode or normal size window. Michal On 4/26/07, Sven Arvidsson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Hi, I can't reproduce this with gnome-terminal 2.18.0-2 and libvte9 1:0.16.2-1, can you confirm if this is fixed or not? -- Cheers, Sven Arvidsson http://www.whiz.se PGP Key ID 760BDD22
