What's the purpose? It is getting a bit annoying to see lots of old bugs
when you don't want to see them. I don't know how archiving works, but
maybe, in the mean time, you could change the scripts that generate the
webpages to just not display any bugs that "Will be archived today"? I'm
willing to help if you're short on time or need testers.
