d-c-m.el uses 822-date. In dpkg-dev 1.14.2, this now prints a warning:

822-date: warning: This program is deprecated. Please use 'date -R' instead.

This warning is included in the changelog file when using
C-c C-f runs the command debian-changelog-finalise-last-version
breaking the date stamp.
