Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.13-3
Severity: normal

I can open and examine the contents of some folders on my Cyrus IMAP
server, but when I try to exit (either by quitting the program or
changing to another folder) mutt hangs for awhile (minutes) and then I
get a timeout message:
Idle too long, closing connection
Error saving flags
The first messages also appears in my cyrus logs, so I assume it was
generated by the server and reported by mutt.

This may be the result of some peculiarity of my IMAP server; in
particular it has many folders (100+) and the main INBOX has about 23k
messages (some of the others are larger). I do *not* experience this
problem with a remote IMAP server (2 folders, 8k messages).

I am able to manipulate the IMAP folder by other means, including
altering the flag. cyradm works; Python's imaplib works; kmail kinda
works (it's very slow). evolution can't create accounts!

It would be nice to have one working mail client...

My recollection is that I've had this problem with several folders,
but in recent tests I was able to exit OK from folders with up to 23K
messages (slightly more than the INBOX). It is only the INBOX that is
giving me trouble. It may be relevant that I have
account-hook . 'unset imap_user; unset imap_pass; unset tunnel'
account-hook imap://imap.xxx.com/ 'set imap_user=aname imap_pass=apass'
account-hook imap://localhost/ 'set imap_user=bname imap_pass=bpass'
in .muttrc. localhost is the one giving me trouble.

mutt and cyrus are on the same box.
