Package: module-init-tools Version: 6.2-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
S20module-init-tools calls '... | sort | uniq' but is run at a time during bootup where /usr is not yet mounted, and sort and uniq are, obviously, not available yet: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ # whence -p sort; whence -p uniq /usr/bin/sort /usr/bin/uniq Side note: 'foo | sort -u' does the same as 'foo | sort | uniq' and is usually much faster. This renders the script in question unusable whenever /usr is on a separate filesystem from /, which is usually recommended in most *nix install guides. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid Architecture: kfreebsd-i386 (i686) Kernel: kFreeBSD 5.4-1-486 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/mksh Versions of packages module-init-tools depends on: ii debconf 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii kfreebsd-image-5.4-1-486 [ 5.4-21 kernel of FreeBSD 5.4 image ii libbsd0 0.0-1.2+r1710 BSD compatibility library - shared ii libc0.1 2.5-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfreebsd0 0.0-5 FreeBSD compatibility library - sh module-init-tools recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
