Hi,
while this bug may really affect kernel 2.4.29, this kernel version is AFAIK not in sarge, but this bug is preventing openswan from entering sarge.
It would be nice to consider to lower the severity for this reason (or tagging 'sid' if that helps). On the other hand this bug does not make the package unusable completely in my view, so the severity might too high anyway.
