xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.0.0-1 from sid. > Iirc the modesetting changes made hacks like 915resolution obsolete but > I haven't heard yet, that it also makes the quirks obsolete. > Can you give me an authorative source that I can safely remove this > quirks for D410 (Changelog entry, mailing list discussion etc). AFAICT there are no older versions of the driver in sid anymore. xserver-xorg-video-i810 is now an empty transitional package. I haven't found anything authoritative, but there is some info in bug #390913. It also seems like Fedora has disabled vbetool in pm-utils on Intel hardware: pm-utils-0.19-3 --------------- * Mon Jul 31 2006 Jeremy Katz <katzj redhat com> - 0.19-3 - doing the vbestate save/restore on intel video with the modesetting intel xorg driver is broken. so don't do it. https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-relnotes-content/2006-October/msg00000.html -- Pelle -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
