Unfortunately, I don't have any access
to either that file or that Debian box I could reproduce the bug at.
Actually, I don't have any Debian box handy at the moment,
so I can't perform any rechecking.
If my memory fails me not, however, the bug was reproducible _always_,
given the conditions I specified above
(i.e. PDF-1.3 w/images as an input and the mentioned versions of
libraries/tools).
If you recheck the behavior of the newer software versions and
everything's ok,
then this bug could be resolved as WORKSFORME I think.
