Results of testing boot floppy images on Compaq 1590DT:
boot-3.50~pre6-1 OK - root disk prompt appears
boot-3.36-2 halts - no root disk prompt
boot-3.31-4 halts - no root disk prompt
boot-3.20-2 halts - no root disk prompt
boot-3.11-3 halts - no root disk prompt
boot-2.11-0.1 OK - root disk prompt appears
Looks like we have 2 out of 6. Hope this helps.

Could you please try them all and tell us which work and which don't? Note
that you only need to check which images boot; you can reboot as soon as
you are asked to insert the root floppy.
