The Debian bug tracking system is mainly concerned with packing and integration
issues rather than upstream features, to that end you might get quicker 
resolution
if you report your bug directly upstream using the 'Report Bug...' entry under 
the
Help menu in digikam.

Mark, thanks.  Of course I can do that.  I didn't this time because I
remember reading in DWN at some point a few years ago that for Debian
KDE packages it's better to file the bug report with Debian, and let the
packagers forward it upstream.  But it doesn't really matter.  I'll file
a report directly with KDE.  Thanks, Andrew.
