Hi Daniel,

your laptop should still work fine with the speedstep-centrino module.
If you want to avoid the warning, you can edit /etc/powersave/cpufreq
and set CPUFREQ_CONTROL="acpi_cpufreq".
If this is not set, powersaved probes all available cpufreq modules and
tries to load them in the following order
"speedstep_centrino speedstep_ich powernow_k8 powernow_k7 powernow_k6
longrun longhaul acpi_cpufreq"
I don't want to change that order (yet), as people might still have
older kernels, where acpi_cpufreq did not yet have centrino support.

If speedstep-centrino actually has been completely deprecated/replaced
by acpi-cpufreq in 2.6.20 and onwards it would imho simply be best, if
the Debian kernel just wouldn't build that module anymore. That's why
I'm reassigning the bug for now to also get an opinion from the kernel
team about this.
