Hi,

Are you still having this problem?

I have tried again to reproduce this, but with no success. The only
difference I can see is that when I don't have an entry in /etc/fstab
and mount the floppy, iocharset is set to utf8;

        /dev/fd0 on /media/usbdisk type vfat

(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,quiet,shortname=mixed,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=077,iocharset=utf8)

I noticed from your initial bug report that you're still using
iso-8859-1. I don't know if it's relevant to the problem though.

It could be useful if you could try with a floppy using ext2, or another
filesystem to see if this is the problem. If that doesn't give any
results, an strace of nautilus trying to write files to the floppy could
be useful.
