Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.2.31
Severity: wishlist

        Hi,

(As proposed in private mail,) I wish there would be a way to store
settings at the repository level, i.e. not in the local copy / checkout
of a repository ($TOP_REPOSITORY_dir/.git/*) but in the repository
itself (probably $TOP_REPOSITORY_dir/.gbp.conf). This allows sharing
settings such as the name of the upstream-branch between all users of
 the repository.

I don't know of a concept similar to SVN properties in git, but svn-bp
uses SVN properties for such settings.

   Bye,
