Version 3.0 of WordNet is available.

Thanks for the hint to the new version. I'm in contact with upstream
since it was released. The problem is that the Debian packages are
not builded from the official WordNet package that uses precompiled
binary databases. Instead the Debian package first builds the
grind tool that converts ASCII text database source to the binary
form that is used by the WordNet binary. Unfortunately grind does
not compile from source. I reported this to upstream and got some
answer that they are working on this. Some days ago I asked them,
whether I should try to sort out this problem with the help of
debian-devel because there was no real progress in this issue.
They agreed and I'll send a problem description with a call for
help to debian-devel list.

So far as a status update of WordNet package.

Thanks for youor interest in WordNet and I hope for a positive change
soon

            Andreas.
