Package: po-debconf Version: 1.0.9~rc1 Severity: normal The current debconf-updatepo command systematically changes that header to the content of the Maintainer: field
This has the consequence of changing the field when Ubuntu and other derived distros change that Maintainer field (for Ubuntu, this is on Debian's request!). So, possible reports about incorrect English will then go to the derived distro BTS and not to Debian. This also has the consequence of cluttering Ubuntu diffs with PO files changes and makes the maitnainer's work more difficult when we want to merge Ubuntu changes in. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages po-debconf depends on: ii gettext 0.16.1-1 GNU Internationalization utilities ii intltool-debian 0.35.0+20060710.1 Help i18n of RFC822 compliant conf ii perl 5.8.8-7 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages po-debconf recommends: ii libcompress-zlib-perl 1.42-2 Perl module for creation and manip ii libmail-sendmail-perl 0.79-4 Send email from a perl script -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
