Hi,

I experienced this problem today, too.
But that was caused by bad wav files; I couldn't play the
files with xmms or similar.

The file "f.wav", that was attached to this bugreport by the poster,
is empty.

So the real problem is that the message is the wrong one.
The error is "File is corrupt", but it says "Wrong file format".
