The website mentions that version 0.63 is the latest but effectively the website is outdated. If you download the version marked as stable you get the version 0.64. This version corrects problems accessing MS-SQL server 2005 so I'd like to see it available in Debian unstable. > I made an attempt at packaging the new version myself, but ran into some > weird shared library issues that were beyond my ability to resolve. I quickly hacked a temporary package based on Steve's preliminary work (http://people.debian.org/~vorlon/freetds/). http://people.debian.org/~hertzog/packages/freetds_0.64-0.1.dsc Beware I didn't check anything (and I probably left some cruft from the patches that didn't apply cleanly). I just wanted quickly a working package (and it's compiled for sarge, as I needed it for sarge).
