Package: spamassassin
Version: 3.1.7-2

Since I've upgraded to Debian Etch, next to the normal logging to /var/log/syslog, my /var/log/messages also get filled with messages from spamassassin (spamd) like:
Jun 8 23:43:31 rulhm1 check[3195]: prefork: child states: II
Jun 8 23:45:15 rulhm1 check[20365]: spamd: connection from xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [127.0.0.1] at port 32818
Jun 8 23:45:15 rulhm1 check[20365]: spamd: setuid to robin succeeded
Jun 8 23:45:15 rulhm1 check[20365]: spamd: processing message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> for robin:314 Jun 8 23:45:36 rulhm1 check[23323]: spamd: connection from xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [127.0.0.1] at port 32824
Jun 8 23:45:36 rulhm1 check[23323]: spamd: setuid to egroenen succeeded

I think this is a bug as spamd (by default) should only log to syslog facility "mail" and because my /etc/syslog.conf looks like this:
....
*.=info;*.=notice;*.=warn;\
    local7.none;\
    auth,authpriv.none;\
    cron,daemon,lpr.none;\
    mark.none;\
    mail,news.none /var/log/messages
....
One expect that nothing would appear from spamd in /var/log/messages, at least that's what I understand from the man page (correct me if I'm wrong). So it seems like spamassassin is also logging to some other facility than "mail" ?
