Gobby segafult in a strange situation, without throwing exceptions. To reproduce it, try this steps: Join a session (in my case gobby.ubuntu.com) and subscribe to various document. Then quit the session. Now try to join a new session (in my case always g.u.c). During the connection (i.e. when you see the "Joining obby session...") if you try to click on a document tab (which has remained there from previous session) you will got a segafult. I insert an uncomplete backtrace here: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread -1229068592 (LWP 9773)] 0x00000010 in ??
