Package: gnome-terminal Version: 2.18.0-1 Severity: normal This looks like the kind of buffering problem that would happen if bash didn't call fflush internally. Especially when I'm entering text using readline, sometimes the characters don't appear immediately but if I type another character then the previous characters appear (they are not lost). I have seen the same problem with bash and with psql so the bug might be in readline or in gnome-terminal. Maybe you have some insight?
